MeloNest Privacy Policy

MeloNest is a local-first Android music app. This Privacy Policy explains how MeloNest handles prompts, generated music, imported audio or video, local playback data, and sharing.

1. No Account Requirement

MeloNest 1.0.0 does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide your name, email address, phone number, or profile information.

2. Music Generation

When you choose to generate music, your prompt and selected generation options may be sent directly to the provider or backend you selected. If you save a provider API key, MeloNest uses it only to authenticate that generation request. Generated audio is saved to your device when generation completes.

3. Imported Audio and Video

When you import media, MeloNest uses the Android system file picker. User-selected audio is copied into MeloNest's app-private storage. User-selected video is processed locally to extract its audio track. MeloNest may read local media metadata such as title and duration to display your library.

4. Local Storage

MeloNest stores generated tracks, imported tracks, track titles, playback state, provider API keys you enter, and app preferences locally on your device. You can remove local app data by deleting tracks inside the app, clearing app storage in Android settings, or uninstalling MeloNest.

5. Sharing

When you tap share, MeloNest uses the Android share sheet and grants temporary read access only to the file you chose to share. Sharing is initiated by you.

6. Legal Pages

When you open the Privacy Policy or User Agreement inside MeloNest, the app loads these public legal pages from GitHub Pages in an in-app WebView. GitHub Pages may receive standard web request information, such as IP address and user agent, to serve the pages.

7. Ads, Analytics, Billing, and Tracking

MeloNest 1.0.0 may include Google Mobile Ads for in-app advertising, Firebase Analytics for app usage measurement, and Firebase Crashlytics for crash diagnostics. These Google SDKs may receive app/device information, ad delivery signals, usage events, crash logs, and diagnostic data as needed to provide those services. MeloNest does not include Google Play Billing, subscriptions, or in-app purchases.

8. Permissions

MeloNest uses platform capabilities required for its core features, such as internet and network state access for generation, legal pages, ads, analytics, and crash diagnostics, Android document picking, and file sharing through a FileProvider. MeloNest does not use Accessibility Service, Usage Access, microphone recording, contact access, location access, or background screen reading in version 1.0.0.

9. Data Selling

MeloNest does not sell your personal data.

10. Children

MeloNest is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a future online feature, contact us so we can review and delete it where applicable.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as MeloNest evolves. The latest version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
